Shop Carpenter | Hammer & Hand

Hammer & Hand seeks a full-time Shop Carpenter to join our Portland Woodshop team!

ABOUT THE POSITION

The position will include the fabrication of cabinetry, architectural elements, furniture as well as the milling of Historical High Performance/Passive House doors and windows (including Tilt Turn).

QUALIFICATIONS

Approximately 5 years of woodshop experience

Ability to safely operate all standard woodworking machinery

Proficient at reading and working from architectural drawings and shop drawings accurately

Knowledge of different wood species, machining methods, and the tools involved in fabrication

Ability to lift 50lbs

Strong work ethic, teamwork, self-motivation, problem solving

High level of accuracy and pride in your craft

BONUS POINTS

Management / Project management

Higher-end shaper experience

Forklift experience

Paint Booth/ Finishing experience
